Software Engineering

In September 2018, SCo2 approved the creation of the Software Engineering Chapter to promote collaborative and interdisciplinary workspaces for the design, development, evaluation, and application of methods, techniques, and tools for Software Engineering. This chapter promotes and strengthens the University-Industry-Government alliance around the phenomena associated with the software industry, techniques, models, languages, technologies, and advances achieved by Colombian researchers.

Objectives

  • Promote scientific advancement in Software Engineering and activities that enable information and knowledge exchange among students, academics, researchers, and professionals.
  • Promote the organization and development of conferences, workshops, and other Software Engineering-related activities in the country.
  • Link Software Engineering groups and organizations in Colombia with similar entities worldwide.
  • Foster reflection spaces that allow criticism and argumentation in the processes of appropriation and construction of knowledge in Software Engineering.
