The Colombian Conference on Computing (CCC) is an annual event organized by the Colombian Computing Society, aimed at promoting scientific discussion in the fields of computer science and informatics in Colombia. This conference brings together researchers, students, and professionals from both Colombia and abroad. The conference serves as an ideal venue for constructive discussions on advancements in computing, with the academic community playing a central role. It also invites professionals from both the public and private sectors to actively participate in the exchange of knowledge and experiences. Through its distinguished national and international keynote speakers, presenters, and workshops, the event seeks to strengthen the development and positioning of computing in the country and the Latin American region.

The 19CCC will be held in person at the Nueva Granada Campus of the Universidad Militar Nueva Granada. The Nueva Granada Campus is located at Kilometer 2 on the Cajicá-Zipaquirá road in Cundinamarca, a beautiful state in the heart of Colombia, rich in natural, cultural, and historical wonders..

Cajicá and Zipaquirá towns are located in the region known as the Sabana de Bogotá, which lies on the Eastern Cordillera, in the southern part of the Altiplano Cundiboyacense—the largest plateau in the Colombian Andes—at an average altitude of 2,600 meters above sea level. Among the main tourist attractions in the area are the Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá, the Nemocón Salt Mine, Jaime Duque Park, and the Guatavita Lagoon.

The organizing committee of the 19th Colombian Conference on Computing (19CCC) invites the entire scientific, academic, and professional community to present and discuss their research and advancements during this relevant event.

The 19CCC invites the academic, scientific, and professional community to submit papers that present a significant and clear contribution to any of the conference’s thematic areas. A special call is made for papers focused on «Computing for More Sustainable Environments,» but submissions in all topics of computing contributions are welcome. All submissions will undergo a double-blind review by three members of the program committee.

Papers must be written in English and should be between 10 to 16 pages in length. Submissions must be in PDF format and can be written in Word or LaTeX in full compliance with the Springer template. Accepted papers will be presented during the conference and included in the conference proceedings with ISBN. At least one author of the paper must register as a presenter. However, if the paper is not presented at the conference , it will be removed from the proceedings.

The 19tCCC invites submissions in poster format for research proposals, scientific initiation projects, and undergraduate research clubs in any of the event’s topics of interest or any other field related to computing. All submissions will undergo a double-blind review by members of the program committee.

For submission, the following must be sent:

    • An extended abstract, which may be written in English, Spanish, or Portuguese, with a length of 3 to 4 pages, in PDF format. The extended abstract can be written in Word or LaTeX in full compliance with the Springer template.
    • A draft poster in vertical format, size of 70 x 100 cm, in PDF format. The draft poster must be designed using the provided template.

Accepted works will be presented during the event and included in the conference proceedings, with ISBN. At least one author of the poster must register as a presenter or student participant. However, if the work is not presented at the conference, it will be removed from the proceedings.

The 19th CCC invites the presentation and demonstration of projects, demos, software, interactive systems, video games, and hardware design and development that are of interest to the computing community. All products must be live presenting during the conference; therefore, they must be in a stable version.

For submission, the following must be sent:

  • An extended abstract, which may be written in English, Spanish, or Portuguese, with a length of 3 to 4 pages, in PDF format. The extended abstract can be written in Word or LaTeX in full compliance with the Springer template.
  • A document detailing the setup requirements for the product exhibition, using the provided template.
  • A demo video showcasing the product. The video must be privately published on YouTube, with a resolution of at least 180p and a duration of 1 to 3 minutes.

All submissions will undergo a double-blind review by members of the program committee. Accepted works will be presented during the event and included in the conference proceedings, with an assigned ISBN. At least one author of the demo must register as a presenter. However, if the work is not presented at the conference, it will be removed from the proceedings.

The 19th CCC provides an ideal place for graduate students in the field of computing to present and discuss their research progress. The Master’s and Doctoral Symposium (SMD2025) is an academic and research forum that offers graduate students from Higher Education Institutions the opportunity to interact with peers working on the foundations, techniques, tools, and applications of different topics with Computer Science and related fields.

Modalities

  • Final Stage Work: This category is intended for students in the final years of their studies who have results they wish to present and discuss with the Colombian community.
  • Work in progress: This category is for students in the middle of their studies who want to share and discuss partial results, challenges, and strategies to address them
  • Early-Stage Work: This category is aimed at students in the initial stage of their graduate studies who wish to discuss and present their research proposal, methodological approach, and potential contributions.

Submission Instructions

  1. The student must write and submit a 6 to 7-page document in English on the SMD25 platform, following the Springer template, with the following structure:
      • Introduction: This section should present the research problem addressed by the student, followed by a justification explaining why this problem is relevant. Additionally, the justification should clarify whether previous research or related work has addressed the problem and with what approach. The submission must explicitly state the work modality for SMD2025 (Final Stage Work, Work in progress, or Early-Stage Work).
      • Methodology: This section should present the hypothesis, research statement, or research question. It must include the methodological strategy proposed, under development, or implemented. Additionally, it should explain how the student evaluated or plans to evaluate the results.
      • Partial Results: A description of the partial results obtained so far.
      • Expected or Achieved Contributions: A discussion of the expected or achieved contributions of the research, including a review of related work.
  2. Recommendation Letter: The student’s thesis advisor must submit a recommendation letter indicating the student’s academic period.

Accepted works will be presented during the conference and included in the conference proceedings, with an assigned ISBN. The student must register as a student participant, but if the work is not presented at the event, it will be removed from the proceedings.

The 19CCC invites submissions of previously published works, providing a space for the discussion and dissemination of outstanding research in computing that has been published by members of our community in highly recognized international journals or conferences. The goal of this session is to offer researchers the opportunity to share their results with the local community. This initiative strengthens SCO2’s network by showcasing cutting-edge research conducted in the country. The call for participation is open to researchers wishing to present their published works from June 2023 to June 2025. Papers must have at least one author affiliated with a Colombian institution and must not have been previously presented at the CCC. Interested authors must submit a two-page summary, using the provided template, highlighting the main contributions and methodology used. At least one author of the previously published work must register as a presenter or attendee and deliver the presentation during the event

The 19CCC is seeking proposals for Tutorials and Workshops of interest to our community. Proposals should be submitted in Spanish, with a length of 3 to 5 pages, in a free format.

    • For tutorials, it is recommended to include the syllabus, target audience, and hardware/software requirements.
    • For workshops, it is recommended to include details on the proposed agenda, potential invited speakers, and a draft call for papers.
